SIMON COWELL SPENDING THE EQUIVALENT OF ABOUT $85,000 U.S. TO TURN THE TOP FLOOR OF “THE X FACTOR STUDIOS” INTO HIS OWN “HAVEN OF CALM”

American Idol judge Simon Cowell, who also judges for the British talent show “The X Factor”, is spending about 500 pounds, the equivalent of about $85,000 U.S., to create a relaxing atmosphere at the X Factor studios, according to mirror.co.uk.

Cowell has hired a team of designers to busily transform the top floor space in time for The X Factor live talent shows. It has been revealed that the space will be painted entirely white and decked out with plasma televisions and a top quality sound system and a relaxation room.

Previously the top floor of Fountain TV studios, located in northwest London, had been made available to contestants, presenters and studio guests, but now the space will be entirely used by Cowell.

“It will be designed like a sanctuary,” a show insider revealed to mirror.co.uk. “The aim will be so he can watch the dress rehearsals in peace. It will be divided into sections so he has a relaxation room for himself and his guests, a shower suite, vanity area and walk-in wardrobe.”

The source also said that under a new format, there will be live shows on both Saturdays and Sundays.

“As Simon will be spending twice as much time there, he wanted to make sure he has a comfortable environment to relax and unwind in.” Sphere: Related Content
